Role Description
The effective commercial line account manager requires a self-starter who is experienced and highly motivated with impeccable follow-through and follow up abilities. Must be Responsible for meeting client's needs as to coverage and costs. Regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment on accounts and collecting data from producers and clients to obtain competitive renewal & new business quotes well in advance, while keeping retention of current clients top of mind. The successful candidate should also enjoy working within a supportive and dynamic team environment - offering support and delegating tasks so that everyone succeeds. Responsibilities
- Capable of managing clients' policies with several moving parts.
- Tactful approach to processing renewals well in advance.
- Remarket policies, review premiums & coverage, update TAM, and issue correspondence on behalf of the agent.
- Rewrite policies if / when needed.
- Work with insureds, fellow CSR's, and agents to collect and submit documents on all policy types.
- Be able to effectively follow up on cancellations, renewals, and quotes without supervision.
- Thrive working independently without direct supervision involvement.
- Assist clients with audits.
- Fill out supplemental applications with on-hand information prior to sending to insureds to complete.
- Notify agents of cancellations, and contact the insureds to remind them of late payments and work with underwriters and billing dept. to get reinstatements, etc.
- Bond requests & issuance.
- Make changes (endorsements, cancellations, billing, etc.), submit claims, take payments, etc.
- Work with Carriers / Underwriters / Mortgagees / Accountants on behalf of the insured to resolve problems resulting from inspections, audits, corrections, underwriting requests and / or billing.
Qualifications
5-10 years of experience working with middle market risks ranging from construction, retail, professional liability, D&O, E&S, franchises, associations, manufacturers, law & accounting offices, non-profits, etc.Experience using Applied TAM and Applied Epic.Experience quoting and issuing for commercial lines.Previous experience working with Applied TAM software.Well versed using MS Office 365 products (Outlook, Excel, Word, OneDrive) and Adobe software.Strong ability of follow-through and follow-up, multitasking, prioritizing, and sufficiently problem solving.Excellent written and verbal skills.Flexible and able to change gears with little notice.Simple IRAIRA MatchHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceLife insuranceSeniority level
