Job Title : Administrative Assistant (temporary)

SUMMARY OF POSITION :
Administrative Assistants are responsible for completing a variety of administrative tasks around the center, including answering emails and phone calls, aiding the other administrative staff with the center’s tasks and projects, and the general maintenance of center operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Administrative Assistant is specifically responsible for performing the following duties :
- To answer phone calls and emails.
- To complete administrative paperwork.
- To assist with center and student activities as needed.
- To direct students to appropriate resources.
- To coordinate with administrative team on projects and tasks for the center.
- To participate in meetings with the administrative team.
- To participate in the employee evaluation process.
- To contribute to the maintenance of the center.
- To be a resource for students.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
Education : The Administrative Assistant should have a High School Education at minimum
COMPETENCIES : Cultural sensitivity; flexibility; personal satisfaction derived from and enthusiasm for working with international students;
empathy for the problems of learning English as a second language; good communication and organizational skills. Must be familiar and have a working proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and exerting up to pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
SALARY : $ an hour
WORK ENVIRONMENT : This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
