Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this role requires a big picture and quick-on-their-feet creative thinker with excellent writing, communication and project management skills.
As a member of the Marketing team, the Marketing Content Specialist will lead, manage and provide feedback about various go-to-market initiatives, including DI's brand voice, company website, case studies, email communications, thought leadership, social media and sales enablement projects.
Working closely with the Strategy, Sales and Creative Studio teams to brainstorm, create and develop messaging, this person understands DI's target industries, products / services, branding, unique value and business goals.
This role requires an engaged collaborator that has a discerning eye for creative and persuasive content.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / FUNCTIONS may include but are not limited to :
- Interprets creative briefs and marketing requests to develop and produce creative concepts through execution for assigned projects and prospects
- Works with the Marketing Manager on campaign strategy and owns DI's Marketing project kickoff campaigns with key stakeholders, and helps with the campaign execution process
- Collaborates with Marketing Manager and Marketing Designer on social media strategy
- Responsible for writing copy and scheduling the posts on all DI social media platforms
- Researches trends, understands Sales and Marketing team needs and identifies target audiences
- Crafts appropriate messaging, including project case study copy, by utilizing existing research, interviews with subject matter experts and DI clients and partners
- Collaborates with the Sales and Marketing teams from concept development to delivery of final product
- Works alongside the Marketing Designer to facilitate all company-wide website updates and page launches to ensure messaging is appropriate, and aligns to DI's brand standards in collaboration with the Marketing Design team
- Assists with the client proposal process to identify content and messaging needs
- Presents strategic concepts to internal teams and executes content that supports DI's capabilities and offerings
- Revises content and copy based on internal and client feedback / direction
- Identifies growth opportunities for DI's online presence in the marketplace
- Analyzes website traffic metrics to make informed decisions on future content strategies
- Manages DI's holistic marketing calendar and is able to adapt as needed
- Continually raises the bar on creativity by looking for new ideas that connect with the desired audience and drives action
- Maintains updated knowledge of communication and client related industry trends in order to enhance DI's content strategy and explore fresh ideas.
- Stays updated on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for message consistency across all communication channels
- Reviews and revises content to ensure clarity and grammatical accuracy
- Creates content that tells a compelling story for a brand or company
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
- Proven track record of content creation including but not limited to email communications, blogs, collateral, case studies, RFPs thought leadership, executive reports, and social media
- Knowledge of SEO / SEM best practices to optimize content at scale
- Exceptional writing, editing and research skills
- Ability to work independently and also with a team to meet deadlines
- Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skill and multitasking ability
- Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, communications, or related discipline is required
- Minimum 3 years professional marketing experience with a solid portfolio of work is required
- Experience generating effective B2B content and working to support a B2B sales team across multiple verticals is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite
- Background in SEO best practices preferred
