Overview

Civil Engineering Department Manager : Life Sciences – Cary, North Carolina. Jacobs is seeking a Civil Engineering Department Manager to grow our life sciences sector in the Cary, NC area. This role leads a civil engineering team through conception to construction and provides mentorship across projects of varying size and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of civil engineers and support staff across project lifecycles from concept through construction.
• Represent and guide the civil team during design and construction; mentor team members on projects of all sizes.
• Work directly with clients and other managers; apply knowledge of land development, zoning, building codes, best practices, and construction detailing to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support permitting processes and construction activities; coordinate with engineering disciplines and specialty consultants.
• Balance multiple priorities, manage quality checks, and supervise the work of other design professionals.
• Operate in a hybrid environment with remote teamwork across geographic locations.
• U.S. Citizenship requirement.
