Collects blood or tissue samples from patients, observing principles of asepsis to obtain blood sample per Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) regulatory standards.
Note : Phlebotomy competencies must be completed and on file
Conducts chemical analyses of body fluids, such as blood or urine, using microscope or automatic analyzer to detect abnormalities or diseases and enter findings into computer
Analyzes the results of tests or experiments to ensure conformity to specifications, using special mechanical or electrical devices
Sets up, maintains, calibrates, cleans, and tests sterility of medical laboratory equipment
Maintains competency to support all CMG clinical sites to include primary care, urgent care, and specialty services.

Required Education : High School Diploma / GED, and Graduate of Medical Assistant program ABHES or CAAHEP accredited institution or completion of a Clinical Medical Assistants Program (CVCC program) where candidate is qualified to sit for the Clinical Medical Assistant Program.
Maintains a professional portfolio, annual Centra mandatory CBLs, annual CMG age specific competency completion / education verification.
Required Experience : 3 years of experience as a medical assistant in an office setting
Required Certification & Licensures Certification / License : Current certification or registration through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or another equivalent organization.
BLS certification within the first six (6) months of employment and maintain current BLS certification. Valid driver's license.
