Assistant Supervisor, Aquatics - Part Time

What you get to do :

• Complete opening, operating, and closing procedures daily
• Maintain surveillance of park guests to ensure safety on park attractions / elements
• Mentor Ambassadors, including goal setting and performance review
• Conduct weekly in-service training to maintain / improve skill level of water safety team
• Investigate safety and guest service incidents
• Manage the efficient use of labor and expenses
• Identify and communicate industry best practices to management
• Support senior leadership in a variety of duties
• Initiate interaction with park guests in a proactive manner
• Assist with maintaining park cleanliness
• Ensure all ambassadors provide exceptional guest service
• Cross train at Busch Gardens to assist with a variety of roles during off season

What it takes to succeed :

• At least 18 years of age
• Have a valid high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous experience within the last three (3) years as a lifeguard (guarding water 5ft or more) required
• Have the following current certifications : American Red Cross Lifeguard , CPR for the Professional Rescuer w / AED, and First Aid Certification
• Able to obtain Lifeguard Instructor Certification required
• Able to pass Deep Water Swim test
• Trained at both Adventure Island and Busch Gardens preferred
• Valid driver’s license and able to meet company's driving guidelines
• Available to work varying shifts / hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays Must be a role model for SEA safety, guest service, cleanliness and grooming standards.
• Have excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Comfortable speaking in front of large groups.
• Able to walk and stand for long periods of time, work in all forms of outdoor weather.
• Able to climb on uneven surfaces or towers (up to 65 ft tall)
