Brew Crew Opportunity

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®

has an opening for a Director of Calendar Management & Product Innovation based

in the Home Office in Los Angeles. This role manages planning and oversees

execution of a customer insight driven 18-month marketing calendar and new

product innovation relating to development of the marketing calendar for the

company. The annual marketing calendar

will include oversight in product portfolio, product marketing and consumer

insights. This position supervises 1 direct report and reports to the Head

of Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Annual

marketing plan : Partner with the Head of

Marketing to develop a customer insight driven annual marketing plan

incorporating Global brand directions including development of the national

promotional calendar to drive sales, traffic and check through key new product

initiatives, system-wide and seasonal promotions (excluding loyalty specific

promotions managed by the Loyalty Marketing Lead) and programs.

Develop

customer insights by competitive benchmarking and an annual customer

learning / market research plan.

Lead

planning and execution of all marketing calendar and innovation related

consumer research projects.

Marketing

calendar : Based on the approved annual

marketing plan, develop an 18-month marketing calendar incorporating seasonal

marketing windows. Lead execution of all

marketing windows in partnership with the cross functional team.

Product

Calendar : In collaboration with Product Development, Supply Chain, Finance and

Ops Services as well as the Global Marketing Team, build a 18 month product

innovation calendar that feeds into the 18 month marketing calendar (must be

at least 6 to 12 months ahead of the marketing calendar year) for Food and

Beverages designed to drive traffic and increase sales. Lead costing and pricing analysis and

recommendations.

Product

Calendar (non-Food & Beverages) :

Partner with Head of Marketing and Senior Brand Manager to incorporate

non food / beverage new products (retail and merchandise) into the master 18

month product and marketing calendars.

Menu

Strategy & Pricing : In partnership with the Sr. Menu / In-Store POP Manager,

oversees and executes menu strategy based on product mix, portfolio margin

analysis, and key consumer targets. Partner

with Finance to set pricing.

Cross

Functional Relationships : Partners with the cross-functional team to ensure

brand promise and positioning are delivered to all guests (multi-channel) and

new product launches are delivered to the field on time and on budget.

Your Ingredients

Bachelor’s

Degree or MBA and 10 years’ experience in corporate marketing.

Related

experience in restaurant, retail, multi-unit or franchise business, preferably

F&B. Experience in working in both

national and smaller / regional brands a plus.

passionate leader with the ability to inspire and collaborate with own team and

establish team focus and direction to deliver and execute the marketing

calendar.

Hands-on

executive with strong strategic skills and ability to translate to

implementation plans.

Experience

in integrated multi-platform marketing campaigns, strategic marketing, and

creative development.

Experience

in insights development, trend analysis and performance metrics to guide

business decision-making and pivots to accelerate growth.

Experience

in product management and product development.

Strong

and persuasive communicator.

Demonstrated

ability to effectively lead, and develop multiple direct reports, in a matrixed

organization.

Strong

written / verbal communication skills and negotiation skills.

Excellent

organization and problem-solving skills.

Ability

to effectively manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment.

Strong

analytical capabilities including budgetary and financial acumen.

Pay Range : $130,000-$170,000 annually

This

is a hybrid position : Monday-Wednesday in our Downtown Los Angeles office and

Thursday and Friday remote.
