Program Change Order Expeditor (US Citizenship REQUIRED)

TITLE : Program Change Order Expeditor (US Citizenship REQUIRED)DURATION : 6 month contractLOCATION : San Diego, CA 92127 (no relocation package)RATE RANGE : $45 / hr - $51 / hr W2 (no health benefits while on contract) No C2C, we can NOT work with outside agencies / vendors, and we can NOT do 1099-US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED POSITION DESCRIPTIONA Program Change Order Expeditor (Value Stream Specialist) is responsible for preventing backlog and expediting the through put of ship repair change orders from receipt, to mark-up, pricing, negotiations, settlement, schedule integration, resource loading, material and / or subcontract requisition, and purchase order issuance;

identify process inefficiencies and map out recommended solutions. Communication : Maintain clear communication with all internal program stakeholders, including management, to provide status updates and address potential issues.

Coordination : Coordinate between departments like procurement, contracts, operations, warehousing and production to ensure smooth execution of the change order process.

Clerical Duties : Perform clerical duties, maintain accurate logs, and adhere to established timelines, procedures, policies, instructions, and guidelines.

Keep track of process delays for identification of areas for improvement. Be able to occasionally prepare subcontractor and material requisitions and purchase orders for approval as a means to expedite clearing backlogs.

SKILLS REQUIREDProficient in Microsoft Suite : Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook Proficiency in reading and knowledge of blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and other technical references Ability to read blueprints and other technical documents Ability to work and communicate with a diverse group Good communication, writing, presentation, and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume production environment Ability to obtain and maintain DBIDs EXPEIRENCE REQUIREDExperience with shipyard and defense change order estimating practices EDUCATION REQUIREDTypically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience.
