About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Licensed Loan Officer Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be intimately familiar with retail purchase loan origination, working closely with real estate agents, structuring loans, analyzing income, running Automated Underwriting Systems (AUS), and overall managing purchase loan transactions from application to close.
This role requires excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Location : This position can work from home in Arizona but our ideal candidate lives / works in the Tucson, AZ.
What you’ll do :
Loan Origination Support Assist the Loan Officer in originating retail purchase loans, including following up with agents and borrowers by phone, text and email.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of loan applications and related documentation.Gather and organize all required borrower information and documentation.
Get customer prequalified and issue pre-qualification letters to borrowers and their agentsFollow up with agents and borrowers to nurture them until they get in contract
Real Estate Agent Collaboration
Work closely with real estate agents to facilitate smooth loan transactions.Provide updates and communicate effectively with real estate agents throughout the loan process.
at least weekly using video and high tech tools.
Loan Structuring Analyze borrower profiles and structure loans to meet their financial needs and goals.Ensure loans comply with all regulatory and company guidelines.
Get loans properly documented and approved in AUS, upload and disclose loan to issue loan estimate, work with closely with assign loan coordinator to insure loans get through underwriting and are approved quickly.
Income Analysis Review and analyze borrower income documents, including pay stubs, tax returns, and financial statements.
Ensure accurate calculation of income and debt ratios and enter into loan origination system and run AUS.
Automated Underwriting System (AUS) Run loan applications through AUS to determine eligibility and risk assessment.Interpret AUS findings and take appropriate actions to address any conditions or issues.
Get loans approved, issue pre-quals, and move files into processing as needed
Transaction Management Oversee the entire purchase loan process from application to closingCoordinate with all parties involved, including borrowers, real estate agents, underwriters, and closing agents.
Monitor loan progress and ensure timely resolution of any issues or delays while maintaining world class communication with all parties.
Customer Service Provide exceptional customer service to borrowers, answering their questions and addressing their concerns promptly.
Educate borrowers on loan products, processes, and requirements.
What we need from you :
- Active and valid AZ mortgage loan officer license.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in retail purchase loan origination.
- In-depth knowledge of mortgage loan products, guidelines, and regulations.
- Strong understanding of income analysis and loan structuring.
- Proficiency in running and interpreting AUS findings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in mortgage lending software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with brokering loans to United Wholesale Mortgage is a must
