The Floor Coverings International Production Coordinator is responsible for delivering the installation of a job to the highest level of expectation.

This position is the key to ensuring that customers have a positive experience and that jobs are produced both efficiently and profitably.

Who We Are : We are a locally owned, residential and commercial flooring company that sells and installs all types of flooring materials ranging from carpet, ceramic, hardwood, vinyl, as we as showers, backsplashes, and any wall installation desired.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Flooring Installation Experience.
  • Leadership skills to manage installers and handle conflict appropriately.
  • Creative Problem Solver.
  • Great communicator.
  • Able to work independently without supervision.
  • Able to maintain organization while working on multiple sites.
  • Able to make reasonable decisions.
  • Portrays a professional image.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bi-Lingual Highly Preferred (English with Spanish and / or Portuguese).
  • Experience with Excel.
  • Experience with SalesForce and other computer applications.
  • General construction experience.

Job Summary : The Production Coordinator is a role that revolves around a high level of customer service, communication, problem solving, and organization along with some technical responsibilities.

An eye for detail is the key to making sure that each project looks great before being revealed to the end user. The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient and will accept ownership of the role.

General hours are from 7 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, varying dependent on the daily production workflow. Evenings and weekend hours are rare, but necessary on occasion.

Every day will be unique. However, the typical day will look a little like this :

  • Arrive at the office at 7 a.m., get install crews started with proper expectations, order materials, and complete reports.
  • Ensure that upcoming jobs are scheduled with installation crews and that information is properly communicated to the team leads.
  • Then spend the rest of the day visiting job sites to inspect work and ensure installations are being done to the proper level of quality and workmanship.
  • Other time will be spent picking up and delivering materials that were unexpected or need to come back to the warehouse for urgent requirements.

General Responsibilities :

  • Meet with sales staff daily to discuss recent sales and review customer expectations and product orders.
  • Order all products needed for jobs accurately and follow up on delivery.
  • Consistently monitor deliveries to ensure materials arrive on time.
  • Communicate with customers and installers to coordinate installation dates.
  • Set proper expectations with customers regarding the installation process and how it will affect their daily lives and the condition of their home during installation.
  • Complete job site visits daily for all projects to check in with installers and customers.
  • Resolve problems as they arise with urgency.
  • Assist installation crews with whatever is necessary to finish projects and ensure a clean jobsite
  • Carry out small installations or repairs.
  • Schedule the job to meet the schedule of customer and installers.
  • Communicate job progress daily with the customer and the team.
  • Discuss and obtain written permission for any changes in contracted work.
  • Confirm scope of work and compensation with installers prior to start of job.
  • Walk the customer through job at completion and collect final payment.
  • Complete job costing reports within 24 hours of completing an installation.
  • Consistently search for installers that can offer a better experience to our customers with more reasonable rates.
  • Be available to attend training seminars at owner’s discretion.
  • Continually educate yourself on new flooring types and installation methods.
  • Make decisions and act in accordance with Floor Covering International’s core values and mission.

Compensation : $55,000-$70,000 dependent on experience. Perks :
