Title : Air Operations Coordinator
Reporting to : Manager, Air Operations
Overview :
The Air Operations Coordinator position requires a candidate who is an experienced travel professional
with current industry experience and a high level of customer service experience. The primary
responsibility of this position will be managing and operating the air component for a number of tour
programs. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and possess strong organizational
skills.
Responsibilities :
- Actively manage the planning and execution of flight itineraries and the e-ticketing procedures for assigned tour programs, providing quality airline routings while maintaining financial goals of the company.
- Process all departure and guest tasks for assigned tours daily in Guest Management System (GMS).
- Manage space updates and cancellations as needed to airline group departments.
- Negotiate airport hotel and / or airport transit lounge contracts as needed.
- Provide customer service support to Guest Services, WorldWide and Special Interest Groups.
- Provide support to Product Development for tour development and costing.
- Monitor flights and provide assistance for airline service disruptions; including assigned after hours support if required.
- Assume responsibilities for other projects as needed.
Qualifications :
- Must have minimum experience of 2 years with an airlines GDS system with proven skills.
- SABRE GDS experience preferred.
- Knowledge of fare filings within the GDS, all aspects of airline ticketing, exchanges, private, bulk & IT fares.
- ARC processing and TRAMS experience preferred.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills to effectively manage travel details and timelines.
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both internally and externally.
- Detail oriented with a strong quality ethic and passion for delivering excellent customer service, with proven experience.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
