Primary Purpose :
Provide student with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the criminal justice field to help them fulfull their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. Implement district initiated certifications in the criminal justice field.
Willing to learn how to utilize certifcation equipment such as 911 dispatch, police car simulator and VirTra Simulator.
Qualifications : Education / Certification
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university or high school diploma / GED and equivalent wage-earning experience as required by certification minimum Statement of Qualification (SOQ) of 3 years of Creditable working experience in assigned area.
- Valid Texas Career and Technology Education teaching certificate in Trade and Industrial Education (6-12, 8-12) or Vocational Trades and Industry with required license, endorsements, and training.
- Demonstrated competency in the career and technology education subject area assigned.
Special Knowledge / Skills :
- Knowledge of criminal justice
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Ability to supervise student field experiences in career area assigned
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience :
Three or more years of wage-earning experience in the area of certification
Duty Days : 187 Days
Minimum : $50,500.00
