What You'll Do :
As a Production Engineer you'll be at the forefront of our innovation supporting our unit's technology, equipment and process control.
You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life.
What We're Looking For :
- Understands the unit's technology, equipment and process control, providing subject matter expertise to the unit.
- Works with other technical roles and plant personnel to meet business and plant goals.
- Supports and follows the work process and standard work practices required by the site and unit.
- Ensures the required operating discipline, best practices and technology is implemented to optimize and improve unit performance and production.
- Improves unit operating discipline and plant operating procedures.
- Initiates MOC's as necessary.
- Assists in troubleshooting and facilitates training of operating personnel in trouble shooting skills.
- Networks with reliability, maintenance and improvement engineers to resolve issues, identify improvement opportunities, and leverage technology and best practices into the unit.
- As requested, trains and communicates process technology and technical information to plant personnel.
- Leads and contributes as required in root cause investigations for unplanned events per site and unit guidelines and requirements.
- Leads and supports targeted process and productivity improvement teams.
- Understands and applies Statistical Process Control (SPC) technology.
- Understands and closes unit asset utilization operational performance gaps.
- Maintains a personal development plan with guidance from leadership to continuously learn and develop.
Skills That Make a Difference :
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemical engineering is preferred.
- 2 or more years of experience in chemical plant operations including co-ops
