Service Engineer (Level 3) - Engines Job Summary

We are seeking a Level 3 Service Engineer for Engines to responsible for providing advanced diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services for a variety of large marine and industrial engines.

This role requires a deep understanding of engine systems and components, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and execute repair solutions in a timely and efficient manner.

Service Engineer (Level 3) - Engines Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise field service teams during engine overhauls, repairs, and routine maintenance, ensuring all tasks are completed according to industry standards and client specifications.
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections and assessments of engine systems, including fuel, cooling, lubrication, and turbocharging systems.
  • Interpret technical documentation, service manuals, and schematics to accurately diagnose engine problems and propose repair solutions.
  • Oversee and execute engine disassembly, reassembly, and testing procedures to ensure engines are restored to full operational capacity.
  • Communicate with clients to provide detailed reports on diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance work completed, offering expert recommendations for future services.
  • Collaborate with the technical services team to plan and execute complex repairs, ensuring all necessary parts, tools, and resources are available.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations during service operations, maintaining a safe working environment for the team and client personnel.
  • Maintain detailed service records, documenting all repair activities, parts used, and engine performance data.
  • Provide technical support and training to junior service engineers, assisting in their professional development and ensuring high service standards.

Service Engineer (Level 3) - Engines Position Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience servicing marine or industrial engines
  • Familiar with a variety of the field concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Creative thinking, critical thinking, and ability to problem solves
