Position : Souring Specialist

Location : Jacksonville, Fl

Duration : Contract

Rate Range : $30-$35 / hr

Position Overview :

The Advanced Sourcing and Innovation team was established in response to the R&D and overall business need of 1) systematically tapping into our external supply base for their innovation capability (Innovation Sourcing) and 2) delivering greater value to the business by optimizing the New Product Development (NPD) process through strategic supplier and material selection as well as greater focus on applying design-to-value (DTV) principles (Advanced Sourcing).

The Advanced Sourcing and Innovation team is part of the Global Orthopedics (GO) Supply Chain Procurement and embedded into the GO R&D organization.

Day to Day Responsibilities / typical day look like :

The Sourcing Specialist position will be responsible for leading supplier selection and engagement to support the needs of NPD teams for Spine to optimize Costs at time of new product launch.

Main responsibilities include :

• Provide direct support to NPD teams as the responsible team member for .Competitive Bidding and Supplier SelectionCost ManagementSupplier Performance ManagementSupply Chain risk analysis and mitigation
• Reporting of financial metrics including Cost Savings / Cost Avoidance totalsSupplier Innovation Revenue
• Provide general assistance to AS&I Sr, Management Staff as needed

MUST Haves :

• At least 4 years Procurement experience required
• Experience with RFQ / Competitive Bidding required
• Supplier relationship management and contract negotiation work desirable
• Strong MS-Office experience required
• Experience in Medical Device or other Healthcare related field preferred
