Overview
We have an exciting and rewarding opening for an Executive Director - RN to join our team in Hamilton Township, NJ! Join us and find new ways to use your gift for leading others while making a meaningful impact in the lives of those in the care of you and your team.
Executive Director Responsibilities :
- Report directly to our Assistant Vice President of Operations.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of your assigned hospice location.
- Coordinate the admission of patients to Hospice Services smoothly and systematically.
- Arrange for ancillary services to ensure they are complimentary.
- Supervise and evaluate hospice personnel and volunteers.
- Coordinate services of all team members of the multi-teamed site and maintain ongoing communication with leadership.
Key Job Responsibilities :
- Demonstrate a commitment to excellence through focusing on quality care and / or service.
- Incorporate continuous quality improvement principles in day-to-day activities.
- Promote and monitor compliance with requirements and standards established by accrediting or licensing agencies.
- Recommend and implement policies and procedures.
- Promote positive communications and keep employees informed of changes.
- Provide core orientation and in-service training for employees, volunteers, and contract personnel.
- Supervise and evaluate interdisciplinary team members.
- Manage teams to goals and standards for performance; review and monitor progress regularly.
- Make appropriate assignments among employees in accordance with their abilities.
- Plan and organize tasks and resources to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
- Ensure documentation of services is accurate and timely.
- Monitor and supervise quality of patients' care of assigned location(s).
- Process emergency calls and requests for assistance.
- Work with physicians, patients, families, staff, and others regarding problems, needs, and concerns.
- Supervise and evaluate family satisfaction surveys in collaboration with the Administrator.
- Manage financial resources prudently and effectively.
- Complete financial reviews in collaboration with the Administrator.
- Ensure annual expenditures are within budget.
About You
Education :
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred.
- Master’s degree in business, nursing, or related field preferred.
Experience :
- Minimum one year management / supervisory experience required.
- Two or more years’ experience in hospice / home care required.
- Three years’ experience in direct patient care in a clinical setting preferred.
- Three to five years healthcare sales / management experience preferred.
Licenses, Certifications and / or Registration :
- Current license to practice nursing in the state of requested employment.
- CPR Certification.
- Current automobile insurance and valid driver’s license.
