Summary

Join our team as an Energy Efficiency QC Inspector and play a pivotal role in our dual mission to protect the environment and enhance customer savings on energy bills.

In this role, you'll spearhead the development and oversight of our Energy Efficiency QC program. Assist in implementing of training initiatives and will oversee the quality of work performed by Energy Efficiency subcontractors.

This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on sustainability efforts while driving operational excellence.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ensure subcontractors and energy efficiency crews adhere to standards and best practices
  • Perform quality audits on crews in the field
  • Conduct desk reviews of submitted jobs and invoice approval
  • Hold routine feedback meetings with subcontractor partners and internal teams
  • Develop training to raise quality awareness among Field Technician team and subcontractors
  • Scout, negotiate, and onboard new subcontractor partnerships
  • Analyze failures and take corrective action based on findings and severity
  • Develop and coordinate policies, procedures, and productivity standards
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge of energy efficiency
  • Train and certify team members internally
  • Build and manage QC program and technicians
  • Assist with technical questions, escalations, and other duties as required
  • Assist with hiring and interviewing in markets
  • Assist EE teams in the field when necessary
  • All other duties as assigned

Education / Experience

  • A High School or Trade School degree in a discipline related to construction or building sciences, engineering or architecture is preferred
  • Building Performance Institute certification or experience with Energy Efficiency is required.
  • BPI Energy Auditor certification is required and BPI QCI is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a discipline related to construction or building sciences; estimating or site auditing experience is preferred
  • Customer service experience required
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace preferred, as well as a general disposition towards learning technology including the use of online platforms such as but not limited to Dropbox, and Salesforce (CRM) on various devices (laptop, tablet, and smart phone)
  • Availability to customer calls on some evenings and Saturdays.
  • Provide and maintain a current driver's license and a clean driving record to safely operate a company vehicle
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal, driving and drug screen

Physical Demands

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Travel is required 60%-80%
  • Ability to work in extreme environments (for example hot sun, cold)
  • Must be willing and able to climb ladders, and stairs and work on rooftops of multi-level buildings as well as within confined spaces such as attics
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand;

walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Must be able to lift 50lbs

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
