What You’ll Work On
- Become familiar with the procedures and the execution of calibrations for instruments in the calibration program
- Use various calibration standards, diagnostic equipment, and general tools of the electrical trade to diagnose and repair calibrated stand alone and loop control systems
- Provide support to primary plant operations; total plant equipment covering (but is not limited to) : packaging lines, processing, drying, filling, warehouse, energy center, laboratory,
- Elevate potential equipment problems, and Improvements to production and maintenance supervisors.
- Work well with little supervision
- Follow all plant and department procedures, GMPs, JSAs and general plant safety rules
- You’ll also be accountable for providing excellent customer service to the production teams and meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of instrument calibration, automation, or related experience
- A basic understanding of electricity and electrical theory
- A working knowledge of computer operating systems, operation of electrical and pneumatic components, and electrical schematics.
- Ability to consistently complete all calibration, preventive maintenance, and quality records accurately and neatly
- Ability to follow diagnostic, repair, and standard operating procedures
- Familiarity with electrical theory
Preferred Qualifications
- State, federal, or recognized certification in Electrical or Instrumentation
- Electronics degree
- Experience with calibration, validation, and / or installation testing
- Strong mathematical skills
- Controls Engineer experience
- International Society of Automation (ISA) certification
