Project Manager
Lead exciting oil & gas projects with a collaborative, supportive team!
Position Overview
Our client, a midstream construction company specializing in natural gas and oil infrastructure, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee critical construction projects.
This position is based onsite in Abilene, TX , with travel required as needed. Candidates with oil and gas industry experience are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Oversight : Manage projects from the corporate office, ensuring alignment with field operations.
- Client Communication : Serve as the primary liaison with the client’s project manager to address scheduling, site issues, extra work, and permits.
- Scheduling & Coordination : Collaborate with scheduling teams to develop and maintain project timelines.
- Field Supervision : Work closely with field supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Project Controls : Monitor and track progress to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
- Leadership : Take initiative to complete all project management tasks and provide solutions as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Project Management : Demonstrated experience in managing construction projects, ideally in the oil & gas sector.
- Technical Knowledge : Familiarity with compressors, pumps, and turbines used in natural gas facilities.
- Software Proficiency : Skilled in MS Excel, MS Project, and Word .
- Communication : Excellent writing and communication skills for drafting procedures, policies, and reports.
- Construction Drawings : Strong ability to interpret and analyze construction plans.
- Organizational Skills : Exceptional time management and ability to develop project-specific plans.
- Teamwork : Ability to work collaboratively with field teams, clients, and management.
