Shipping Manager

McKinley Packaging , an established manufacturer in the corrugated container industry is seeking an experienced Shipping Supervisor for our facility in Lebanon, IN.

Responsibilities include but not limited to :

• Provide support to the department, forklift operators, and warehouse personnel so that department requirements are achieved.
• Oversee day-to-day operations in the Shipping department with the ability to prioritize and assure that deliveries are processed, loaded correctly, and delivered on time to customers with the ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.

Requirements :

• Ability to prioritize and assure that deliveries are processed, loaded correctly, and delivered on time to customers.
• Knowledge and practice of DOT regulations as well as safety and operating procedures.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a department that includes hourly personnel and works closely with our contract carrier to ensure timely and complete deliveries to our customers.
• Knowledge of the working and delivery area.
• Strong communication skills with both internal and external customers, including shift supervisors, and at shift hand-off to ensure the delivery schedule is maintained for our carrier and customers.
• Ability to manage and adapt to change swiftly and efficiently.
• Motivated and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of efficient trailer loading procedures and proper material handling techniques as well as instructional and training skills.
• Promote high morale within the department by showing fairness and consistency in the application of company work and safety program policies.
• Good Housekeeping at all times is required.
• Additional duties as required.

Schedule :

• 8-hour shift
• On call
• Weekend availability.

Experience : Shipping & Receiving : 3 years (Required)
