SUMMARY
The Human Resource Director will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and the implementation of the people mission and strategy at every stage of the employee cycle, including the organization's culture and talent strategy to accomplish organizational objectives.
Acts as a consultant to senior leadership in providing advice and guidance on all aspects of human resources management.
Understands and effectively works with the budget and capital asset planning processes to acquire the necessary resources and technology needed for the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing
information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational and corporate objectives.
Collaborates and co-leads with senior leadership to understand and implement the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting and retention, carrying out the defined culture and employee experience strategy to ensure employee well-being.
Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives and surveys in order to implement and ensure Corporate and Local human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, culture and employee experience and wellbeing, training and development, succession planning, employee relations and retention and legal compliance.
Actively collaborates with Corporate (based in Spain) to ensure alignment and proper implementation of strategies in terms of people and organization.
Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave;
disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale.
Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices and strategies for hiring and talent management.
Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices;
reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law;
applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
Develops and implements departmental budget.
Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.
Performs other duties as required.
Education and / or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field with 10-15 years progressive HR experience.
- 5+ years in a managerial role.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Valuable professional experience collaborating or working together with other markets and cultures (e.g., Spain).
- Management and leadership skills of hierarchical and functional teams, adopting an open and proactive type of communication and collaboration, generating trusting relationships.
- Experience managing benefits programs.
- Skilled in conflict management, communication, and negotiation.
- Possessing organization and time management skills as well as being self-disciplined.
- Trustworthy, respecting employee confidentiality, and possessing the following abilities : approachable, impartial and objective.
- Knowledge of Oracle ERP is a plus.
- Spanish language skills would be a plus.
