Shopper Marketing Coordinator

Location : Tyler, TX Job Summary

Coordinates marketing efforts with the marketing department, category management department and supplier community to ensure efficiency of vendor-funded shopper marketing programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinates marketing promotion process through communication with category managers and vendors and presenting information to the sales and marketing committee.
• Works with category managers to direct and maintain the ad planning process.
• Sends out bills to suppliers for planned promotions. Ensures proper payment is received in a timely manner.
• Responsible for maintaining and distributing master list of ongoing promotions containing information on vendor agreements and promotion requirements.
• Develops a timeline for the development of each promotion. Monitors progress and notifies partners and suppliers of upcoming deadlines.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with suppliers to streamline promotional information, distribute deal sheets and ensure proper billing of marketing fees.
• Maintains knowledge and awareness of performance of ongoing promotions to alert category management leaders of issues and concerns.
• Receives and responds to promotional inquiries from partners, vendors and customers. Obtains input from appropriate leader when necessary.
• Works with analysts to evaluate promotion results and reports results as needed.

• Basic mathematical skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Basic knowledge of SAP reporting and transactional applications.
• Ability to comprehend and interpret information.
• Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.

• Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and two or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and higher education required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age required.
• Continuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus.
• Continuously required to use fine finger movements (ex. sorting and typing).
• Continuously required to talk and hear.
• Frequently required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling.
• Frequently required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling.
