The Role :

Our site in Billerica, MA is seeking a motivated and talented Analytical Chemist to work in the R&D Metrology Lab in support of our Microcontamination Control (MC) Division.

If hired into this role, you will join a highly-skilled Metrology team, tasked with providing reliable measurements to support internal R&D and external customers, related to our MicroContamination Control filtration products and membranes.

Ofte,n these measurements require the development of novel techniques to address challenges faced by the rapidly changing semiconductor industry.

What You'll Do :

Perform analytical testing based on established methods and support ongoing laboratory operations

Establish and drive continuous improvement of existing laboratory processes, analytical methods, documentation, and training materials

Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and regularly update standard operating procedures

Assist in the development of new methods to evaluate current and next-generation products

Perform validation studies on new and existing methods to ensure reliability and repeatability of data

Collect, interpret, and review experimental data regularly with the analytical team

Successfully apply test results into scientific principles, theories and concepts for each project

Use critical thinking and problem solving to determine project outlooks

Collaborate and participate in cross-functional teams as analytical subject matter expert

What We Seek :

Bachelor of Science in chemistry or related technical field

Knowledge and demonstration of proper safe handling of materials, and the ability to maintain a clean and safe workspace

Knowledge of analytical chemistry, statistical analysis, Lean Six Sigma principles, and process improvement

0-3 years of lab experience using analytical instrumentation, to include ICP-MS, GC-MS, LCMS, LPC, etc.

Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete lab work safely and efficiently.

Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Drive to continuously learn

Outstanding Candidates Will Have :

Knowledge of nanoparticles and membrane-based separations

Experience with lab installation and qualification of new analytical equipment and troubleshooting

Hands on experience with hazardous chemicals

LIMS experience
