Laboratory Technician

Kelly Science is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for a growing client located in Lenexa, KS.

Pay : $22 / hour -& an additional $2 applied to weekend days worked.

Shift options :

Wednesday-Friday 5 : 30am-2 : 00pm & Saturday- Sunday 9 : 00am-5 : 30pm

Saturday-Sunday 9 : 00am-5 : 30pm & Monday-Wednesday 5 : 30am-2 : 00pm

Wednesday-Sunday 9 : 00am-5 : 30pm

Employment Type : Full Time; Direct Hire

Job Duties include :

• Perform tissue and viral culture of cells for vaccine production within a clean room laboratory environment.
• Daily gowning with sterile hood coveralls, goggles, facemask, two pairs of gloves and clean room boot coverings.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs for laboratory practices, quality assurance, laboratory support and other SOPs.
• Assist in the preparation of growth medium and cryoprotectant medium to be used during various vaccine production processes.
• Assist with laboratory support practices and general maintenance / organization of the laboratory.
• Ensure compliance with GMP & CFR Title 9 requirements.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in biology or a related scientific field preferred. High School Diploma required.
• Previous experience working within a GMP environment strongly preferred.
• Must be able to gown in / out of a cleanroom environment, must be able to stand for long periods of time, and able to lift / carry up to 50lbs.
• Must be reliable, attentive to detail, and able to follow SOPs.
