About This Role
In this role, the Director, of Strategic Planning is responsible for owning key components of the AM&S, and in many cases, leads cross-functional project teams to drive specific outcomes and to deliver meaningful results.
We are looking for a high-energy, highly collaborative aftermarket athlete to join our team, lead the charge, and be the change in one of Carrier’s fastest-growing segments.
This position will own the AM&S strategy for the Residential and Light Commercial Business segment.
The AM&S Strategy team reports to the Senior Vice President, Global Services, Business Development and Strategy and works closely with AM&S leaders within Carrier’s business units.
Team priorities can generally be categorized into the following buckets : increasing aftermarket parts capture, driving service attachment, enhancing digital / connected service offerings, and leading change management.
Key Responsibilities :
- Define and own strategies and roadmaps / project plans in support of Carrier AM&S growth
- Own development of strategic initiatives with focus on Global Light Commercial and Residential HVAC business. Collaborate with BU AM&S leaders to execute the playbook
- Lead cross-functional project teams to drive specific outcomes and deliver results
- Synthesize unstructured data (internal / external, qualitative / quantitative) to extract key insights
- Present recommendations and report outcomes to ELT
- Act as an advisor to business unit leaders on best practices related to AM&S
- Partner with BUs to update and implement AM&S playbook in the businesses
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10 years of consulting, industrial experience
Preferred Qualifications :
- Graduate degree (MBA preferred)
- Experience working in relevant industries, either directly or indirectly
- Prior strategy consulting experience a plus
- Comfort working as an individual contributor this role does not have direct reports.
- Exposure to key Aftermarket parts and services concepts (strongly preferred)
- Strategic thinker with excellent communication skills
