Moffatt & Nichol is searching for junior level Structural Engineers to join any of our listed offices. The successful new hire will perform analysis and design of structural systems / components in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood for waterfront structures.

Duties and responsibilities :

- Structural analysis, design, and detailing of concrete, steel, and timber structures
- Perform finite element static and dynamic structural modeling of structures
- Assist Senior Engineers with the preparation of design concepts, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
- Prepare design calculations and check calculations
- Coordinate plan details with engineers and drafting technicians
- Participate in inspection and rehabilitation of structures

Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineer or related discipline required
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineer preferred
- EIT preferred
- At least 2 years of intern or industry experience
- Experience with MicroStation or STAAD

- All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
Base salary range :
$36.90 to $45.10 per hour based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description.
Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the California, New York City, or Washington market.
Working conditions :
Sedentary for prolonged period of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
