Position Description
The City of Tolleson is seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Human Services Assistant (Cook).
- The Human Service Assistant (Cook) is responsible for assisting with daily food preparation and packaging food for recipients;
- Monitors program participants and ensures they receive expected services; Assist with monitoring inventory or food and kitchen supplies;
- Notifies supervisor of required ingredients and supplies; Assist with cleaning kitchen and monitoring equipment for safe, functional operation;
Assist in programs; Prepares, sets up and tears down / cleans up following activities; and performs related work as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of directly related education and experience.
Valid Arizona driver's license, Food Handler's Card, CPR / First Aid, Fingerprint clearance card, and Central Registry background required.

Physical Demands
Positions in this class typically require : stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Light : Exerting up to 20 lbs. occasionally, 10 lbs. frequently, or negligible amounts constantly OR requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
