Staff Accountant

Position Summary

As a member of the global Finance Team, this position reports to the Accounting Manager. You will be responsible for various general ledger accounting activities, including parts of month-end close and reporting, journal entries, intercompany transactions, account reconciliations and analysis, and various ad-hoc projects.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Actively participate in the financial month-end close
• Review general ledger accounts including but not limited to Inventory, Prepaids, and Accruals, and preparing related adjusting journal entries
• Perform account analyses and reconciliations Assist with external audit requests and financial reporting
• Ad hoc projects and tasks, as assigned
• Assist with process improvements and workflow efficiencies
• Provide excellent customer service to our internal customers (i.e. co-workers in other departments)

Required :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• At least two years of related accounting experience
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
• Attention to details

• Resourceful and well organized. High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day to day activities
• Approachable, professional and able to work in a highly confidential environment
• Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and offers solutions to complex issues required. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner;

Develops alternative solutions

• Team player with a proactive approach to problem solving
• Understanding of the need for flexibility in a rapidly changing business / startup environment
• Demonstrable self-organization skills and time management
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders

Desired :

• CPA credentials preferred
• Solid understanding of GAAP accounting
• ERP systems experience, NetSuite preferred
