KeyTronic Oakdale, MN facility is seeking a Production Supervisor candidate. This role has primary responsibility for managing front-end production departments (SMT, Wave, Selective Solder, & Component Prep) at the Oakdale, MN facility.
This person will be responsible for developing and adhering to production schedules, leading & driving continuous improvement projects, maintaining product quality, managing employee performance, and enforcing all KeyTronic policies and procedures.
The person hired for this position will work closely with the Director of Manufacturing to take on additional responsibilities and have an opportunity to grow.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)
- Setting and enforcing department schedules / priorities to support overall production schedule
- Managing all personnel activities for responsible areas including : hiring, evaluating, disciplining, & promoting of personnel
- Provide general supervision to the front half of production & act as a liaison for the Leadership team
- Make recommendations regarding quantity and quality of work methods, interpretation and enforcement of company regulations, hiring and separations
- Plans work to be performed using established procedures
- Requires regular contact with employees of other departments, supplying or seeking information. Requires tact and discretion in order to obtain cooperation
- Assist floor personnel with technical issues encountered during production
- Drive quality and labor improvements and assist the business team with customer / build related issues that may require their technical expertise
- Monitor throughput (run time to quote) and quality data for areas of improvement.
- Train personnel and enforce procedural compliance
- Provide technical support & training to leads & employees when necessary
- Provide technical support, maintenance, and optimization of production processes where necessary
- Consistently interface with managers, supervisors, & engineers on a regular basis to communicate any personnel, shift bandwidth, quality, or efficiency concerns.
SUPERVISION GIVEN / RECEIVED
Reports to the Director of Manufacturing. Is responsible for scheduling, managing, hiring, evaluating, and disciplining employees.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, talk, hear, and see.
The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or reach with hands and arms.
The environment is fast-paced, time pressured, and requires accuracy. The employee will regularly multi-task between projects, be required to move throughout the office building and production floor.
Effectively communicate orally and written.
WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- A minimum of 2-3 years of previous leadership experience
- Strong problem-solving & communication skills
- Must be strong in people and resource management
- Previous Technical or Engineering experience preferred
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to complete training and become certified to IPC-A-610 standards
- Ability to work with employees of all levels within the organization
