Position Summary
The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Operations department. The Operations Supervisor will ensure that the Operations teams safely meet KPI goals.
Work directly with the Shift Manager to ensure all Operations goals are met. Gives work direction, resolves problems, helps prepare schedules, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work in a made-to-order environment.
Ensures production activities adhere to all quality objectives other requirements as need. The Operations Supervisor will report directly to the Shift Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Coordinate Operations activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effectively.
- Quantitative operations management, including line efficiencies, etc.
- Partner cross-functionally with procurement, sanitation, quality, batching, production, maintenance, and the warehouse to maximize efficiencies and ensure the safe production and output of high-quality products.
- Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
- Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
- Be able to change gears rapidly to deal with an operations / manufacturing environment between multiple departments.
- Be a change management agent for the company in implementing new SOP, etc., and best practices.
- Incorporates production floor organization and cleanliness among plant personnel.
- Monitor and improve Material & Labor efficiency.
- Create and drive performance metrics.
- Ability to manage a fluctuating workforce.
- Monitor and minimize cost.
- Excellent knowledge of GMP’s.
- Strong organizational and people management skills.
- Be able to communicate any concerns upward in a constructive manner.
- Adhere to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines when in the plant.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
Job Qualifications
- Operations / Manufacturing experience preferred
- Communicate fluently in English (Spanish is preferred)
- Strong computer MS Office, interpersonal, and organizational skills,
- Has extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Works well in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical ability
- Knowledge of food plant manufacturing systems
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to multi-task and prioritize
- Able to pass a drug and background test
Job Qualifications
Experience : Operations / Manufacturing experience preferred, has extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and Works well in fast fast-paced environment
Knowledge : Knowledge of food plant manufacturing systems and forklift operator.
Language Skills : Communicate fluently in English (Spanish is preferred)
Other Skills : Strong computer MS Office, interpersonal, and organizational skills,
Other Abilities :
- Analytical ability.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to multi-task and prioritize.
Working and Environmental Conditions
Responsibilities may require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening / weekend hours in order to meet deadlines.
Working in a warehouse setting, in a cold environment with temperatures below 40°ree;F. Work areas may be loud and confined spaces.
Will require continuous exposure to noisy environments >
85 dBa. Adherence to safety protocols and wearing of required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed shoes.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
Physical Demands
Ability to stand, sit, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs with continuous motion. Occasional exposure to moving machinery. Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs or ladders as needed.
Physical agility to navigate manufacturing equipment and facilities including repetitive bending, stooping, squatting, and twisting.
Ability to work at heights when needed.

Compensation
$22.00 - $26.00 DOE
