UNTITLED Hotel is seeking a passionate, hospitality-minded individual with an exceptional eye for
detail and knowledge of business financials to join our team.
The Hospitality Event Sales Coordinator is responsible for booking, planning, and overseeing
events at the public spaces at UNTITLED, including but not limited to soliciting new accounts,
sustaining relationships with existing accounts, coordinating, and servicing client functions to
ensure satisfaction, and maintaining profitable operations with a high-quality offering and
service experience.
Key Responsibilities
Recognize the importance of providing extraordinary hospitality and exemplify this in
interactions with guests, clients, and coworkers alike.
Manage existing accounts, follow up with client re-solicitation to capture future business,
and establish and maintain lasting relationships with clients.
Perform daily administrative tasks including but not limited to timely correspondence to
catering, event and sales inquiries, preparation of proposals and contracts for clients,
creation and analysis of sales budgets, execution of beverage and operating supply
purchasing, design and implementation of strategies to increase sales, and so on.
Collaborate with hotel and f&b operations teams to ensure successful execution of
events from genesis to execution- recognizing that every day presents varying needs
and adjusting numbers accordingly.
Utilize knowledge of the public area room setups, capacities, and servicing capabilities
as well as hotel accommodation and room configurations to offer thoughtful proposals to
clients.
Conduct site visits and provide tours of the public spaces.
Oversee event execution, ensuring visibility on the floor and assisting staff as needed.
Plan and execute holiday and special events in conjunction with the Sales and F&B
departments.
Participate in required M.O.D. program as scheduled.
Maintain, refine, and grow the department’s SOPs and operating systems. Explore new
outlets and opportunities for all spaces while considering breadth of capability. Maintain
records of events and guest feedback, analyze trends, and strive to improve customer
satisfaction to further increase client retention.
Attend industry events to network and generate leads.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
2 years of experience in hospitality sales
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous
and service-oriented manner
He / she must have a strong knowledge of gatherings for 200 persons or less and
understand the importance of prospecting in creating new sales opportunities for the
hotel.
Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of
employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible and long hours sometimes required
Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by
employees and guests
Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying,
solving problems and implementing solutions as necessary.
Medium work Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 20 pounds of force
frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
