Job Summary : The Respiratory Care Practitioner II is responsible for the assessment of respiratory patients with acute and chronic illnesses, to ensure delivery of clinically appropriate respiratory care procedures as prescribed by the medical staff for neonate, pediatric, adolescent and adult patients.
Minimum Qualifications : Education : Completion of an accredited school of Respiratory Care program or equivalent to be licensed.
Required Certificate / License : Current CA RCP license. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). BLS, NRP required. Experience : One year of neonatal / pediatric acute and intensive care preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Effective communication skills. Ability to maintain emotional stability. Ability to use computer systems Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements : Sit : Up to 3 hours / day Stand / Walk : 6-8 hours Bend / Stoop : Up to 3 hours Reach : Up to 6 hours Rep Use of UE / Grasp : Up to 6 hrs Lift / Push / Pull : 25lbs, over 25# with assistance or equipment This job requires the ability to hear alarms clients and / or instruction.
