Responsibilities :
- Review of revenues and expenses for accuracy while examining general ledger postings and rent rolls
- Coordination with Receivable and Payable personnel to ensure timely posting for all transactions in the correct period and proper general ledger coding
- Preparation of supporting schedules for all balance sheet accounts and selective P&L accounts
- Preparing and posting journal entries as needed
- Research, analyze and provide meaningful and accurate information and report as required
- Review of monthly reports to analyze variances reportable to management
- Communication with fellow employees on budget variances and explanations
- Monthly reporting of financial information - balance sheet, profit and loss, yearly comparatives and budget variance reports
- Review fellow accountants' monthly workpapers and financial reports and make recommendations for achieving complete sets of books
- Ensure proper procedures are followed that maintain internal controls
- Handle deadlines and other projects as needed
Qualifications :
- Detail and action oriented, analytical, and problem solver, strong work ethics
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced deadline environment while managing multiple tasks
- Ultimate professionalism, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- proficiency in Excel
- Industry experience : Real Estate of Property Management is a plus
