Position Overview
The Product Strategy Director is a key player in the Innovation team. They will help capture the voice of the customer and state of the market, define strategy and vision across potential product investments, and amplify our product vision in the market.
The role requires a solid understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem and technologies, the ability to communicate and influence across a variety of stakeholders and teams, a focus on developing internal and external content that effectively captures the customer voice, and a strong level of organization and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Represent the voice of the customer by managing the intake and backlog of customer, general market and internal sales teams product priority requests
- Partner with product, commercial and partnership teams during planning cycles to insert customer and business needs into the prioritization process
- Develop internal and external content that highlights customer value and strategic direction for all releases within the product roadmap
- Manage the innovation team roadmap presentation as part of external customer presentations
- Contribute to industry thought leadership by authoring and collaborating on webinars, conferences, and other thought leadership
- Understand business and client use cases, along with an understanding of technical functionality, across the full suite DV's Products
- Be an advocate for customers and client-facing teams by understanding the DV customer and commercial expectations and help Product bridge the gap to be a good internal partner
- Understand competitive position of products and guide product teams to develop differentiated solutions that are best in the industry
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of full time working experience in online advertising
- Past experience working directly with clients and supporting client-facing teams
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organized with a rigorous attention to detail
- Ability to converse and work equally as well between sales, technical, client, and leadership teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in product marketing and / or other marketing disciplines
- Deep knowledge and experience with digital advertising technologies
- Experience with verification, activation, performance and / or outcomes advertising solutions
- Successfully led new products or features to market
- Experience working as a digital media planner or related field
The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminating factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at DV.
The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between $140,000-278,000 .
This role will also be eligible for bonus / commission (as applicable), equity, and benefits.
