UCT is looking for a talented Sr Manager, Human Resources Business Partner to join us in Hillsboro, OR!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Responsible for providing HR partnership and services to site locations.
- Ability to manage and influence a team of HR professionals responsible for providing HR support to all managers and employees throughout the company.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with the leadership team and employees to advise both on employee-related and organizational matters.
- Plan, develop and implement a variety of Human Resource initiatives to support the attainment of business goals and objectives.
- Develop a recruiting strategy for open positions, working with hiring managers to identify candidates through a variety of sources
- Conduct new hire orientation; train new employees as required on self-service HR tools.
- Interface with UCT HR functional teams, payroll, and benefits administrators regarding a variety of issues; assist employees with issues as required.
- Conduct employee and manager training on a variety of topics
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations and other HR issues
- Facilitate different channels for communication and feedback like conducting employee surveys or skip-level meetings.
- Coordinate termination and reduction in force activities
- Act as a resource to local activities committee; may assist in planning engagement activities
- Work on and lead special projects in support of the HR organization

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interface effectively and establish trust with employees, managers, and groups at all levels in the company
- Strong sense of ethics and confidentiality with regard to employee and business issues
- Ability to build strong partnerships with line managers
- Strong computer skills (MS Office suite, particularly Excel) HRIS experience
- Attention to detail and exceptional follow-up skills
- Working knowledge of employee benefit plans
- Training and group facilitation skills
- Bi-Lingual a plus - Spanish
Educational / Certification Requirement :
Bachelor’s degree in business / equivalent, PHR / SPHR certification preferred
Experience Requirement :
Work Experience :
7 + years HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Management Experience (for people manager job only) :
3 + years HR Management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
