We are seeking a full-time Systems Support Specialist (IT) to provide help desk systems support to clients within the company.
In this position you will serve as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting software, Laptop / PC hardware, and printer problems in a mixed OS environment.
The ideal candidate could be a person with 2+ years of PC support experience, but a combination of education and experience will be considered.
Responsibilities :
- Generate trouble tickets for problems and work to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Provide support via phone, chat, e-mail, and / or in-person to users in the areas of e-mail, directories, and standard Windows and Mac desktop applications, and other in-house applications
- Prepare new laptops and desktops for deployment to offices and mobile units in the field
- Support users by installing, configuring, and deploying software packages on company hardware
- Responsible for ongoing maintenance, management, and tracking of company owned hardware and software
- Provide IT training for new NEP employees
- Provide backup systems administrative support for multi-server, multi-location IT infrastructure
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements :
- Experience with PC configuration / upgrades and repairs
- Supporting both Microsoft and MAC operating systems and applications is a must
- Knowledge of troubleshooting network issues (LAN / WAN)
- 2+ years of PC support experience
- Technical or Bachelor’s degree in IS, IT, Engineering or equivalent experience desired
