What does this role look like?
As an Electro-Mechanical Engineer, you will serve as the Responsible Product Engineer for multiple THAAD battery products .
You will be working with a diverse team in fielding a highly mobile defense system providing the critical capability to shoot a missile with a missile enabling the U.
S. military to effectively and reliably defend the U.S. and allied assets around the world.
Key activities you will accomplish in this role :
- Production and development efforts supporting multiple sites including those engaged in electronics packaging, PWB / CCA design, integration, product manufacturing, and final assembly.
- As a Certified Principal Engineer (CPE), oversee the development and production of missile battery products supporting Missile Power & Comms.
- Drawing preparation
- Requirements / concept development
- Detail design
- Manufacturing process development and improvement
- Development testing and Hardware Qualification
- Discrepancy resolution
- Support to producibility, affordability, and obsolescence-driven re-designs.
- Data Analysis
- Failure Investigation and Root Cause Corrective Action implementation
To be effective in this role, you will need :
- Experience with high-reliability electronics or batteries through product lifecycle.
- Experience in Mechanical Design with a strong understanding of electronics, structures, mechanics, and materials. Strong communication skills.
- 9+ years of professional experience; 7+ years with a Master's degree.
- For this position, an active Interim Secret or higher clearance is required to be considered, thus US Citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications :
- Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Materials Science, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience / combined education.
- Experience with high-reliability electronics or batteries through the product lifecycle.
- Experience in Mechanical Design with a strong understanding of electronics, structures, mechanics, and materials.
- An active DoD Interim Secret or higher clearance is required to be considered, thus US Citizenship is required.
Security Clearance Statement : This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Pay Rate : The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $105,000 - $201,100.
For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location.
