Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Python, .Net,

Expert in scripting experience like Unix, Shell, Bash

Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) for application hosting, integrations, etc.

Proficient in databases like MS SQL Server, Big Query (preferred), Oracle, etc.

Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Develop and integrate APIs and third-party services as needed.

Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications.

Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.

Preferred :

Front-end development with Angular (preferably)

Proven experience in application development using frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define project requirements and specifications.

Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies in Python and application development.

Participate in Agile / Scrum development cycles.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

8+ years of experience in Python development.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills :

Knowledge of microservices architecture.

Experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD).

The annual salary for this position is between $ 115,000 - 135,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
