The Kansas City Mavericks are looking for driven, enthusiastic interns to join our team during the 2024 - 2025 season. The ideal candidate will have a professional demeanor with the ability to communicate clearly with supervisors at all levels (both internally and externally) and take pride in all work completed.
The individual needs to be detail-oriented, have the ability to multi-task, and meet demanding deadlines. Individual must also have the ability to work independently, take initiative, provide solutions, and make informed decisions.
Essential Duties
- Prepare digital assets for playback during broadcast
- Execute gameday scripts by switching camera feeds, activating team commercials, and controlling graphics on a live feed
- Directing talent and assisting with research
- Other roles and responsibilities may be required
Qualifications
- Current college student (undergraduate or graduate). Must be able to receive course credit
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
- Interest in pursuing a career in professional sports and / or entertainment industry
- Self-starter mentality and desire to take initiative
- Prior broadcast experience preferred but not required
- Must be able to work all home games (nights, weekends, and holidays)
- Must be able to work games and events on nights, weekends, and holidays.
