The Youth Pastor will play a critical role in fostering the spiritual development of the church’s youth, ranging from middle school to college-age.
This full-time position demands a proactive approach in creating, implementing, and managing programs that engage, educate, and empower the youth within the church and the broader community.

Qualifications
- Education : A Bachelor’s or higher degree in Theology, Christian Education, Youth Ministry, or a related field is required.
- Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in youth ministry or a related pastoral role within a church setting is preferred.

- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Job Description / Key Responsibilities
- Spiritual Leadership and Discipleship :
- Develop and implement a dynamic youth ministry program that aligns with the church’s vision and theological stance.
- Regularly plan and lead services, Bible studies, and activities specifically tailored for the youth.
- Provide pastoral care and spiritual mentorship to help young individuals navigate their faith and personal challenges
- Educational and Program Development :
- Organize programs such as Wednesday or Sunday youth ministry activities, Bible study classes (Sunday school), small groups, etc.
that are engaging and theologically sound.
- Plan and coordinate special events like retreats, camps, mission trips, and community service projects.
- Develop curricula that foster a deep understanding of Christian doctrine and promote application in daily life.
- Volunteer Recruitment and Leadership Development :
- Identify, recruit, and train volunteers and youth leaders, providing them with the resources and support needed to succeed in their roles.
- Establish a leadership development program to mentor youth into potential leadership positions within the ministry and church.
- Family and Community Engagement :
- Act as a liaison between the church and families, enhancing communication and fostering an environment where families are actively involved in the spiritual development of their children.
- Strengthen ties with the local community, including schools and community centers, to promote outreach programs and church visibility.
- Administrative Responsibilities :
- Develop and manage the youth ministry budget responsibly, planning expenditures for activities and resources effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of youth participation and progress, and prepare regular reports for church leadership and parents.
- Ensure compliance with all church policies and legal guidelines related to youth work, including safeguarding and health and safety standards.
Working Conditions
- The position requires flexibility in hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the schedule of church services and youth activities.
- The role involves significant interaction with youth, parents, and other community members, often requiring off-site engagements.
