This adjunct faculty member teaches Computer Science courses.
Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities : MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
- Evaluates and advises students
- Participates in departmental and college affairs
- Develops curricula
- Recruits students
- Serves on committees
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Master's degree in computer science from a regionally accredited institution or a Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution and 18 graduate credit hours in Computer Science or related field (e.
g., Information Technology, Networking, Telecommunications, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, including Computer Education, Educational Technologies)
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
