Purpose of the Job
The Fitness Instructors purpose is to provide high quality customer service to all members through assisting with reception area, members on the floor, members seeking assistance with their training goals as well as facilitation of classes.
Key Performance Areas include :
- Operations Teach Group Fitness classes and inductionsProvide a safe exercise environmentEstablish a mood in a class that is positive, funky and fun
- Reception Assist visitors that enter the clubAssist members with access to the clubReceive and refer queries from members
- Customer Service Promoting the club to all contactsBe guided by the best interests of the membersUphold a professional image and promote the Just Gym brandAlways be polite and considerate towards members and visitors
- Sales Complete inductions for new MembersSign member’s up to PT sessionsSource new clientsDynamically market yourself to attract further clients.
Qualifications and Experience
- Senior Certificate or equivalent tertiary qualification
- Group Fitness or Personal Training Qualification preferred
- 1-2 years’ experience in the Fitness Industry preferred
Competencies Required
- Knowledge and training on fitness and physical training
- Computer literacy - MS Office; Outlook, Internet, Word and Excel intermediate
- Friendly, energetic and loud
- Ability to welcome new members and convert interested leads into new members
- Strong affiliation to working in a team
- Commercial and business awareness
- Problem solving skills
- Initiative
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to balance the demands of work and personal commitments
- Ability to make quick but balanced decisions
