- Academic Affairs Administration AdministrationThe CCP Program Director directs the OSU Academy College Credit Plus (CCP) program;
- Chairs the College Credit Plus Subcommittee of the Council on Academic Affairs; manages research, planning execution and development of College Credit Plus projects and programs in the undergraduate admissions area;
- review applications for undergraduate admissions; works with school districts, academic departments, regional campuses; works with parents, students, counselors, school administrators, the Ohio Department of Higher Education, College Access Organizations;
- manages, plans and directs admissions, orientation and academic advising for the OSU Academy program; counsels students;
Point person for the working group with the Metro School; acts as liaison.
Essential Duties :
- 40% : Manages Academy operations; performs counseling; reviews applications; makes admission decisions; oversees Academy Orientation programs;
- oversees Academy advising on Columbus campus; serves as academic advisor; responds to inquiries; writes and edits communications pieces;
acts as liaison; conducts research; prepares reports; disseminates information.
- 40% : Directs the OSU Academy College Credit Plus program; serves as the university point of contact for College Credit Plus;
- participates in state-wide conversations on the implementation of College Credit Plus; informs the university community of state policy;
- manages communication process to school districts and families; oversees the Academy admissions process; participates in formulation and revision of Academy policies and procedures;
oversees coordination of Academy programming between Columbus and regional campuses; Represents OSU at state meetings as needed.
10% : Provides outreach to high school counselors, college access organizations, students and families on the college admissions process;
provides information on post-secondary opportunities with focus on serving students who are low income, first generation and / or underrepresented minorities.
10% : Plans, develops, supervises and / or completes special duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in relevant field may be required. 8 years of relevant experience required.
12 or more years of relevant experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required; Master's degree preferred; administrative experience in undergraduate admissions operations, processing, college and department liaison, transfer and articulation and highly developed situation analysis, problem solving, planning, management, written and verbal communication skills desired.
