Assistant Principal - Highline HS May 13 2024
is seeking an Assistant Principal to complement the existing leadership team and support the Highline High School students, families, and staff.
This individual has a demonstrated commitment to anti-racist education as reflected in their previous teaching, learning, and leadership practices and experiences, in addition to having experience working with a linguistically and ethnically diverse population of students and families.
As the Dual Language program continues to roll up into Highline High School, an ideal candidate for this position is multilingual with a background in language learning as well as has experience teaching and / or leading in contexts with Dual Language education programs.

Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Washington State Teaching or Educational Staff Associate Certificate (Active or ability to obtain by contractual start date)
- Washington State Principal Certificate (Active or ability to obtain by contractual start date)
Salary
$155, 592 - $182, 867
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the principal in the general administration of the school and serve as acting principal when the principal is absent.
- Supervise student discipline and welfare and maintain records of individual disciplinary actions.
- Coordinate matters of student discipline and welfare with parent / guardian, teacher and support personnel.
- Supervise attendance and truancy matters.
- Assist in coordinating student activities with the instructional goals of the school.
- Assist in the development of school policy.
