The Millwright Mechanic will be responsible for performing repair, and maintenance of equipment located throughout the facility.

Installation, repair, and maintenance of associated equipment, and components located in the facility. In a safe, efficient, and professional manner, the Millwright Mechanic will support the preventative, corrective, and general maintenance for our locations.

Summary of Essential Job Functions :

Include but are not limited to the following :

  • Daily assessments of systems, maintaining a clean working environment, and other various duties as assigned, while adhering to all safety and health standards.
  • Installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical / electrical operating equipment and machinery.
  • Ensure facilities are fully operational including electrical, plumbing, and any routine maintenance i.e. painting.
  • Perform complex repairs, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of problems associated with company vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensures maintenance is executed according to established standards.
  • Assists in administering preventive maintenance program to include machine history, maintenance, and lubrication logs.
  • Maintains operation and maintenance manuals for all equipment.
  • Strong working knowledge of the mechanical functions of forklifts and associated equipment.
  • Performs welding.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, engine, and transmission, and possess general servicing skills.
  • Maintains tools and orders supplies as required for installation and repairs.
  • Follows safety practices, and utilizes protective clothing and equipment as required by OSHA.
  • Performs other various duties as assigned by supervisors.

  • Good communication with and respect for co-workers and their property, vendors, and clients.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 1-year previous experience with industrial maintenance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid State Driver’s License including clean DMV record.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Spanish speaking is a plus.

The individual frequently is required to climb stairs and ladders. The individual must regularly lift and / or move up to 50 pounds, at higher than chest level, and be able to tolerate adverse working conditions due to climate and extreme temperature changes.
