What You'll Do
- Plan machining operations by reviewing work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference plans, locations of surfaces, machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances
- Programming mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, calculating requirements, including basic math, proving part programs
- Able to operate machinery (Manual Lathe, Milling Machine, Drill Press, Key Seater, surface grinder, CNC machines)
- Must understand materials, cutting tools, tool speed and material feed rates, coolant requirements and machining techniques
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfortable working in a multidiscipline environment
- Machine parts from prints and can make parts from samples
- Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
What You'll Need
- 2 years experience as a CNC programmer programming with Mastercam
- Ability to utilize precision measurement instruments
- Experience reading blueprints required

High School Diploma or GED required
