POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
The Craft Recruiter - Solar will collaborate with project site Superintendents and leadership on a regular basis to identify strategies for sourcing and identifying candidates for current and future hiring needs.
This is a remote position, requiring frequent, regular travel to project sites located in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and other locations as needed (75% of the time) and requires bi-lingual Spanish and English communication skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish creative recruiting strategies in local communities that develop candidate pipelines to support hourly labor needs per project site by studying and understanding organization plans, objectives, forecasted hiring needs, and project location demographic in collaboration with the project site team.
Positions include construction site Solar Laborers and heavy equipment Operators
Gain thorough understanding of value proposition for candidates, including the culture and benefits of working for Moss, and ways to effectively articulate these details to candidates to attract them to Moss, over other open opportunities in the marketplace
Work with hiring managers to build trusted partnerships, determine / understand hiring needs and proactively provide status updates
Utilize the ATS (Workday) to review and assess applicants and build future talent pools
Utilize creative, location-specific details and grassroots efforts at local community centers, workforce centers, chamber of commerce, churches, military bases, trade schools, etc.
Generate interest in open positions and engage with talent in a variety of ways including networking, phone calls, texts, emails, social media, job boards, community and veteran organizations to identify a diverse slate of potential candidates
Coordinate and participate in hiring events for project sites, including marketing / advertising strategies
Travel to work sites and local areas for sourcing and recruiting efforts
Assist candidates with the application process, as needed
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum of at least five years of previous candidate sourcing or recruiting experience with high volume, hourly, non-exempt positions is required to be successful in this role.
Previous military recruiting experience is a plus
Experience recruiting in the Construction or Solar / Renewable Energy industries is strongly preferred and will allow for best success
Bi-lingual Spanish and English communication skills are required, and must have ability to travel 75% of the time to project sites, community engagement, sourcing, and hiring events.
Fluent Creole is a plus.
Previous experience with Workday Recruiting is highly preferred
Experience with candidate sourcing using social media, job boards, veteran / military organizations, trade schools, and local community organizations and engagement is required
Ability to build trusted partnerships with Hiring Managers, Recruiters, and Project Leaders
Demonstrates the ability to independently and efficiently manage time, activities, and priorities to accomplish goals and objectives for hiring, with ability to pivot quickly and with urgency as needed.
Strong sense of confidentiality and professionalism regarding personnel information and sensitive subjects, as part of a corporate HR function
Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills and phone etiquette
