Our busy hotel, The Doubletree by Hilton Grand Rapids Hotel, is looking for an exceptional director of sales and marketing to develop a revenue plan that maximizes profitability for daily sales in areas such as rooms, dining, catering, and events.
We need someone willing to be the brand's voice and manage the marketing budget to produce property-specific campaigns, promotions, and collateral that will generate revenue and meet property targets.

Responsibilities :
- Grow customer loyalty while also generating new business by nurturing long-term relationships
- Examine market trends to establish pricing that balances costs, competition, and supply and demand
- Hire, train, and motivate your team to provide better customer service to your clients
- Prepare accurate and complete sales reports documenting marketing budgets, current market share, direct sales, and outline marketing plans
- Consult with sales managers and stakeholders to evaluate the company's performance
Qualifications :
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- This position requires a high school diploma or GED, and a bachelor’s degree in marketing or hospitality being preferred
- Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Thorough knowledge of marketing strategies and best practices for a sales department
- 5+ years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably with some experience in a sales management role
- Hotel sales leadership experience is required
