Kennel Assistant

Barkfield Animal Hospital is seeking Doggy Daycare / Kennel Attendants to add to our team. Scheduled times can be between 7am to 6pm, every day of the week.

We are flexible on hours / dates, however you MUST be able to work some weekends and holidays.

Key competencies that come along with this position include : safely managing groups of dogs,

cleaning up after dogs, maintaining a clean and sanitary facility, cleaning yards, kennels, etc ( a great portion of this position is cleaning! ) and standing on your feet for most of the day.

Reliable transportation a must*

Pay is based on experience

Pay : starting at $13 per hour Department Boarding Employment Type Full Time Location Cumming, Georgia Workplace type Onsite

Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role :

• Responsible for the day-to-day care of patients and boarders
• Safe handling and restraint
• Feeding and watering
• Walking and bathing
• Monitoring behaviors
• Ensuring the well-being of pets
• Assisting medical staff

What You'll Bring :

• Must have previous animal experience
• Must have sufficient physical strength, mobility, and stamina to lift and / or move heavy pets and objects
• A sense of fun and teamwork Smiles and laughter are required for all who apply
• Dependable and able to work independently
• Passion for dog care
• STRONG WORK ETHIC
• Attention to detail
• Punctual and dependable
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Expect to work some holidays (Spring Break, Easter, July 4th, Memorial / Labor day weekends, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New years, Etc) and weekends.
