Position Summary
Delaware County Community College (DCCC), located outside of the Philadelphia Metro area, is looking for a talented and dynamic Adjunct Pennsylvania State Non-Suppression Fire Instructors to join our team of faculty who are committed to student success.

Delaware County Community College Workforce Economic Development division in conjunction with the Emergency Services Education Department is seeking Adjunct Pennsylvania State Non-Suppression Fire Instructors to help expand upon our ETA class offerings.
Essential Functions

- Attend scheduled Adjunct Faculty Orientation and / or pre-semester meetings prior to the start of the respective semester.
- Complete required training and submit any required paperwork.
- Provide direct supervision and instruction of students in the respective non-suppression setting.
- Provide feedback to the Director of Emergency Services Education throughout the semester regarding the students' strengths, weaknesses, progress with psychomotor skills, and areas for improvement.
- Complete required and anecdotal documentation as indicated.
- Communicate with Director of Emergency Services Education regarding any questions or issues related to the clinical setting, including student evaluation if indicated.
- Meet contractual obligations for each scheduled class day and time.
- Prior to the start of the semester, provide availability and confirm teaching assignments with the Director of Emergency Services Education.
- Communicate with the Director of Emergency Services Education regarding specifics of course instruction.
- Utilize information technology to manage instruction, facilitate communication, and enhance student learning. Be available to students for questions, respond to student questions / concerns.
- Working knowledge of current PA State Fire Academy Job Performance Requirements and appropriate standards
Experience & Education
Qualified candidates will have :
At least ten years of active firefighting experience in career or volunteer department. Applicant shall have their PA State Non-Suppression Instructor certification.
Applicant shall possess current AHA BLS / CPR and HazMat Operations Refresher certifications. Applicant should have both a strong clinical background and the desire to teach Fire / Rescue / HazMat students in the classroom and training ground settings.
Must have the ability to communicate with members of the Workforce & Economic Development - Emergency Services Education Department as appropriate / indicated, including the Director of Emergency Services Education, and / or Administrative Assistants.
Ability to complete and submit required paperwork and documentation at the time of employment and throughout employment as required.

Verification of educational credentials
Adjunct credit faculty participate in the College's 403(b) plan.
